Cirildo Chavez, lovingly known by many as Frank, entered eternal rest on May 18, 2023. Born on July 9, 1937, in Fulshear, Texas, Cirildo was a compassionate, generous, and thoughtful individual who held an unwavering faith in God. As a devout Catholic, he found strength and guidance in the words of Matthew 5:4, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted."\n\nThroughout his life, Cirildo prioritized family above all else. He married the love of his life, Frances, on August 6, 1956, and together, they built a beautiful family. Cirildo's passion for his occupation as a butcher at Vincek Smokehouse in East Bernard, Texas, was only surpassed by his love for barbequing for his family. His devotion to his family was evident in the way he cherished his great-grandsons as the center of his world.\n\nCirildo is survived by his daughters, Jean (Ken) Colvin, Rachel (Richard) Gutierrez, and Betty (Ronnie); his sister, Mary Chavez; his granddaughters, Brooke (Jesse) Jenkins, Tiffany Deleon, and Nikki Whaley; his grandson-in-law, Jesse (Brooke) Jenkins; his great-grandsons, Evan Jenkins, Xavier Deleon, and Emilio Jenkins; his sister, Liz Carrillo; his grandson, Nicco Martinez; and his special friend, Stella Contreras. He is preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Maria Chavez; his wife, Frances Chavez; his son, Benny Chavez; and his siblings, Helen Gaitan, Joe Chavez, Pete Chavez, John Chavez, Buddy Chavez, and Annie Petrosky.\n\nWe invite you to share your memories of Cirildo and upload cherished photos to his memorial page. May his generous spirit and loving nature continue to inspire us all.
